The Buddha Dordenma Project is the construction of a 169-foot-tall
Shakyamuni Buddha statue seated on a 50-foot-tall throne in the Kingdom of
Bhutan.
Inside this Buddha will be over 125,000 units of little Shakyamuni
Buddha statues which are also filled with sacred relics, mantras, and precious substances.
This is why it is called Buddha Dordenma meaning Vajra-throned
Buddha which symbolizes peerless virility to bestow blessings, peace, and happiness on
the whole world.
Don't worry if you don't quite get what's written above, you'll get to see visually what they mean...

The activity of the Buddha Dordenma Project was prophesied in a terma of Guru Padmasambhava and found by Terton Dorje Lingpa. Terma is a sacred treasure kept by Guru which has been destined to be revealed in the future time by tertons for the benefits of future generations. When the time has come, tertons who are the reincarnations of holy beings (could you one of them?) will appear and carry out the activity. Apparently we are privileged to be extended such an extraordinary opportunity to fulfill the mission of all Buddhas.
How does the Buddha Dordenma bring forth tremendous changes in people's lives, including yours?

These statues are listed in the contribution items.
In a nut shell, in the interior of the Buddha Dordenma are at least over 125,000 units of Buddha Dordenma. Let's see how they look like...

The photograph you see here depicts exactly how the gilded 8-inch-tall
and 12-inch-tall Buddha statues will look like.
As many as 100,000 8-inch-tall Buddha Dordenma statues
will fill up the 169-foot-tall Buddha's body and lotus; whereas as many as 25,000 12-
inch-tall Buddha Dordenma statues will reside along the walls of meditation halls inside
the 50-foot-tall Buddha throne.
Each small Buddha contains sacred relics, mantras, and various precious substances.
Besides infusing the entire universe with enormous auspiciousness and energies of all
Buddhas, it symbolizes peerless virility and serves to bestow blessings, peace, and
happiness to the whole world.
The name of contributors for each of the
statues will be carved individually on copper-plates (which are reinforced with powder
coating) and displayed in the meditation halls - Hey, what name have you come up with?
Many people placed their parents' names. Let's continue our tour while you figure it
out...

Since Buddha Dordenma is not built for display purpose but rather for bestowing blessings on the world as well as an auspicious symbol of peerless virility, its structural designs must strictly comply with the followings:
